Network Management Practices

Blocking

Utility Telecom does not block or otherwise prevent end-user access to lawful content, applications, services, or non-harmful devices.

Throttling

We do not degrade or impair access to lawful internet traffic based on content, application, service, user, or use of a non-harmful device.

Affiliated Prioritization

Utility Telecom does not prioritize traffic to benefit any affiliate.

We do not accept payment to prioritize certain internet traffic over others.

Congestion Management

Our network is designed to handle current and anticipated traffic demands. In the event of congestion, we employ reasonable network management practices to ensure optimal performance for all users. These practices may include temporary traffic shaping or prioritization of maintaining service quality.

Application-Specific Behavior

Utility Telecom does not block or rate-control specific protocols or protocol ports, nor do we modify protocol fields in ways not prescribed by protocol standards. We do not inhibit or favor certain applications or classes of applications.

Device Attachment Rules

Customers may attach any lawful, non-harmful, FCC-certified devices to our network. Devices must not cause harm to the network or other users. Utility Telecom reserves the right to prohibit devices that cause network harm.

Security

We employ industry-standard security measures to protect our network and customers, including monitoring malicious traffic and preventing the distribution of malware, phishing, viruses, or other harmful content. These measures are dynamic and updated regularly to address emerging threats.
